Introduction
Mission Statement:
"We honor this Brotherhood of Bruins with integrity, respect, and dedication!"
Benefiting from the “tennis boom” of the early 1970’s, a large student population, a bevy of talented and dedicated players and coaches, and strong tennis community and club support, the Cherry Creek High School upstarts won their first State Championship in the fall of ’71. We didn’t look back, or stop winning championships, for another 18 years. Although our streak was eventually snapped in 1991, and our national record of consecutive state championships would eventually be broken, the Bruin tennis dynasty has continued its great success over many years.
Born of The Boom, Built by The Bruins and leaving plenty of ruins for those in our wake, we have built our foundation, our success, our Brotherhood on a system of Intra-squad Challenge Matches, called The Ladder, that define who we are. We will play anyone, anywhere, anytime for stakes low and high. Strong State, Regional and National Tournament participation have benefitted us greatly, and always will.
We are a No-Cut sport, usually carrying around 150 players, that provides the opportunity to join the team, embrace the Challenge, and be a part of something beautiful and wise. We have 3 Varsity Teams, 3 JV Teams, and a strong systematic approach for players of all skill and participation levels to enjoy and be a part of. A tradition of commitment, dedication and excellence that has stood the test of time.
Backed by the might of our Volunteer Booster Organization, The Creek Court Club, and the Decades of Parental Power and Love we are A Red Train Express carrying The Bruin Brotherhood on a Journey of Athleticism, Growth and Joy. Climb aboard and “Ride the Wave”.
It’s better, together.
